1. Cut off contact.
Do this at least for a little while. A friendship may eventually be possible, but being friends can’t happen in a genuine way until you have healed through most if not all of the pain, which takes time. Being your own best friend is what is most important during a difficult break-up and that means not putting yourself in situations that don’t lead to feeling good. When you are hurting, you are vulnerable. Protecting yourself with healthy boundaries is an essential part of good self-care. Politely let your ex know you need your space and would prefer not to be in contact for the time being. (Don’t ghost them.)
2. 4. Know it is OK to still like/love them.
Love is never wrong. When someone comes into your life who allows you the opportunity to experience love, that is always a true gift. Part of maturity, however, is recognizing that love by itself isn’t always enough to make a relationship work. But moving on from a relationship that isn’t working isn’t always about ending the love you feel. Sometimes the only way to let go is to love someone enough to want the best for him or her even if that means not being together.
3. Make peace with the past.
When someone treats you poorly or does something hurtful, it is a natural and healthy response to feel some anger. Anger helps you be aware of situations that are not in your best interest and can facilitate the separation process from an unhealthy relationship. But when we hold on to anger and resentment from past experiences we take them with us into the future. Nothing hurts more than when someone you love does something that causes you to reevaluate who you believed them to be. When someone betrays the trust you gave, it is painful. But letting what someone else did limit your ability to move forward means they still exert control over your life. Forgiveness isn’t about letting someone else off the hook for his or her bad behavior; it is about your emotional freedom.
Today’s blog post will be about the things I like about college as well as my experience so far!
I’ve been attending college for a few years now. I started out going on school campus for a while then started doing everything online.
College is different that high school in many ways. In college you can pretty much do as you please (no dress code, come and go as you when you want (most of the time). Another plus is you go by your own schedule, so whatever works for you! Just pick the classes you wanna take and the times, then go from there! You can also drop a class if you find that it is too hard. College (in my opinion) is easier than high school. You’re given alot of time per assignment especially if you’re doing it online. It’s also pretty easy to make friends as well.
My experience has been pretty great so far! My first time on campus I made a few friends right away as well passing my first class with either an A or B I can’t remember lol. Now I am doing online, which is easy/hard. For example we are pretty much on our own. The teacher explains each assignment briefly but we as students need to know how to do it based on little info. We are typically given a week per assignment (each one due on Sunday) which is very helpful for those who are busy during the week. Now I’m going to list the bad sides to college.
1. It is expensive for those who don’t get financial aid.
2. Classes fill up quickly!
3. Classes can be confusing at times when not given clear instructions.
4. It does take awhile to finish (get your degree) if you take only 1-3 classes at a time.
Those are just 4 things I thought of randomly but I’m sure other people who attend college have different things that they dont like as well.
Hope you all enjoyed today’s post!!!
1. I learned to truly admire nature and all its potential.
2. I learned to not be so selfish when making sacrifices for those I care about.
3. I learned to take more risks this year.
4. I learned to continue cherishing my current friendships and to appreciate them more.
5. I learned to not get so offended when I get roasted. 😂
6. I learned how to make/save money in different ways.
7. I learned how to become a better song writer.
For todays post, I’m going to be talking about a topic that everyone can relate to.
We all want things in life whether that be a car, a job, etc. Sometimes we aren’t willing to put forth the effort to get those things.
For example, getting any kind of job requires a few things such an application and providing a resume. Most of the time we need to work for what we want in life without expecting things to just be handed to us. Just because it may be hard doesn’t mean we should give up or stop trying.
Here is another example of wanting, but not going for it. ~ You see something that draws you in like a new car but you dont have money and aren’t willing to do what it takes to get the money, instead you procrastinate buying that car.
Never give up! Things take time. Do what is right and go for it! It’ll all be worth it in the end.
I hope you all enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading!
I could literally go on and on about today’s topic but I’ll keep it short with a few examples on how to improve ones self.
Getting feedback from others is a great way to know what you can improve on. It’s always helpful to get advice from those you care about.
For example if a friendship isn’t working out, you can figure out if there is anything you’re doing wrong to improve yourself and that friendship as well. Communication in all areas is so important. Whether it be in relationships or friendships it’s good to get things that bother or don’t bother you out in the open. If we dont communicate then we will never really be aware of how someone else is feeling or what we can take away from the conversations that we have.
Healthy lifestyles are another form of self improvement. Knowing what you need to do to improve your life physically can be very important.
This is all I have for today’s post. I hope it helps at least one person out!
Sometimes we have to put others first in situations. Other times we have to make sacrifices we those for those we love and care about. It’s not always an easy thing to do in fact it’s very hard but sometimes it’s worth it because they’re worth it. For example long distance relationships puts a huge strain on both partners but it’s something that is completely worth it because you love and care about them. No matter what the distance is, it will not tear you guys apart. Another example would be not hearing from someone you care about in awhile. Patience is a big factor in all of this and it’s very important to be patient while waiting for their return. Never give up! It’ll be hard but once the wait is over, everything will worth while in the end.
